Was browsing through my project library when I found this... We need to redo this some day and do it right. Such a lovely melody at the start :)

iEloy responds:

Sounds like an awesome idea!

Love this, an epic song to come back with.
Now, about the inspiration, why not put it in the track desc rather than say its really obvious? Plus I kinda feel elements of it throughout the whole song, not just the beginning, but it still has your own flare to it that I know so well.
I like your songs so much, seriously keep at it (even if there are a few months between each release its worth the wait <3)

(Kind of upset you do orchestrals better than me too, but what can I do? :/ )

DevinChin responds:

Thanks Sigma <3 Lol I think I just won't say it, there's a lot of influence from other sources in this too. Also, I spent a good chunk of the summer analyzing string quartets so you shouldn't be upset x)

Even though I didn't add anything to it, I'm still really happy with how this turned out. You did an amazing job on your own, its definitely your best track so far. The transitions are silky smooth and each part sounds somewhat unique in its own way and even though its pretty much the same bassline throughout you've still made it work and stay somewhat interesting.

Drums are a bit inconsistent in places but other than that I have very few problems with it overall. A solid 7/10 from me.

iEloy responds:

Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated.

Hehe, I haven't listened to any of your stuff in a while and I think that this is quite nice :)

I felt that the vocals just stuck out from the track a bit too much and could have been mixed a bit better but other than that I see little to no problems with this at all.

Your songs do still feel like your trying to copy waterflame a bit too much though, I get that he is one of your main influences but he's one of mine as well yet my songs don't resemble his nearly as much as yours do. Whilst trying to stylize your music after others is a great way to learn it will only take you so far before you have to start developing a style of your own.

One thing I am curious about now though is how you actually make your tracks and how you use your DAW. Id definitely be interested in a collab at some point in time because even though most of your stuff sounds like Waterflame, I do feel like you know how to put a song together pretty well

Preds responds:

Thank you!
I know, I try to get my "separate" stuff, I dont copy him, I just get inspired, but, yes, sounds pretty similar to his songs and melody, basicaly because I admire him so much. Thank you, I'll be more creative next time...
Sure, we should try! I like your songs and I know it will sound pretty nice, both of them together :D

Nice piano cover/Mashup! Cuts between different tracks were managed very well!

however the bass chords of the piano overpowers the main section quite a bit. My suggestion is to lower the note velocities of these sections a little bit.

I don't see any other problems with it otherwise ;D Keep it up!

Rufffy responds:

Thanks! I heightened the velocity of the bass notes as the piano was too weak, I think I might have gotten a bit carried away and started "stabbing" them out :P

Anyways, thank you for the positive review, I hope you have a good day ;w;/

Okay, review time.

The very beginning sounds fine although it is a bit sudden, and there is no evidence of structure throughout really.
after the beginning the whole thing seems to just deteriorate from there sounding more and more like random noise.
I get that the song isn't finished (and never will be since you lost the file) but even as a fragment this isn't that good... sorry, but That's what I think.

in summary: meh.

I thought Id give a quick summary as to what I think of all of your works as a whole (I listened to a varied sample of them and overall: they could be a lot better, I think that you focus on pumping out new content way too much... you should step back a bit and spend more time on each track you make, quality should always come over quantity after all. also, as a general rule of thumb I try to avoid uploading previews to NG (I used to, but not anymore) That way your listeners don't have to wade through tons of previews to get to a finished track.

Well, I hope this helps you out :)

Doublechindoge7 responds:

Well ok, I can't really say much to that. I guess the only thing I can say is, everyone keeps saying in their negative reviews that after the first part it sounds random but I don't get the problem with that. I haven't been able to stick to one single style, so I take advantage of that and kinda create between styles and combine things you wouldn't often associate together, and no-one's ever complained about that. What makes it different here? Why do people hate the unusual combinations and mixture of classical and dubstep here?

It definitely Paid off! I'm loving this, its awesome as usual :D It sounds a bit different to your other tracks but nice all the same ;)

DevinChin responds:

Thanks Sigma, glad you like it! :)

Nice Stuff! I'm really liking the melodies along with how well everything is put together! Keep it up ;D
